Employee Leave Options

Employees receive sick and personal days as outlined in Regulation 4320

The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) provides up to 12 weeks of job-protected leave to eligible employees for certain family and medical reasons.  Employees are entitled to up to 26 weeks of job-protected leave to care for a covered service member with a serious injury or illness. The district uses the following measure period, when taking FMLA leave, per Regulation 4321-Family and Medical Leave, “the amount of leave available to an employee at any given time will be calculated by using a ‘rolling’ 12 month period measured backward from the date an employee uses any FMLA leave.”
